3 🔑 To Discipline

(1) Most Meaningful Things First
Whatever you’re desiring to do the best do it first. For so long I worked out in the morning times. I really enjoyed it. However, what I found out is, my mind is the best in the morning. From about 4:30am-11:30am my mind is sharp and focused. So I was working out during my “primetime” brain power. This caused me to be disciplined about working out because I did it first, but I was letting some important things fall through the cracks because I wasn’t doing it when I was at my best. I’ve recently started working out during lunch so that I can do deep meaningful work in the morning. For me, doing what I need to be disciplined in doing first, always provides better results.

(2) Keep A Calendar
Don’t let tasks, appointments, or meetings dictate your time, but let your time dictate your tasks, appointments, and meetings. If you don’t manage your time your time will manage you. To be discipline is to not work on the urgent and unimportant things but to work on the important non-urgent things. The best way to do this is to be organized with your calendar. If you don’t tell your time where to go, it will find somewhere to be.

(3) Be Consistent
Don’t give up. If you change a disciple (for me-when I’ve been working out) give it some time to produce some results. The first week I changed when I worked out I HATED it. Now, I believe it’s going to help me so much. Remain faithful to it for at least 30 days before going back or make a different change. This will allow you to see if this discipline actually works for your life.
